427 Truck motorve1zp 12-02-2009, 01:01 PM Would anyone know if any of the car BBC heads will fit the truck motors.Or if anyone knows if someone makes adapters for the intakes or if anyone makes intakes for the T motor..Bruce Mine is a 1972 in a 1987 suburban iroc343 12-05-2009, 07:57 AM Headers will bolt up just fine. They'll be about 3/8" higher up than using a non-truck engine. Shouldn't be a problem as you're most likely fabricating from the collector back anyways. Intake and distributor will be a problem, unless you're using the originals. They make spacer plates so you can adapt a standard intake and they also make distributors for the truck blocks. ve1zp 12-06-2009, 07:34 AM Thats great do you hapen to know who makes the intakes and distributers ,or the adapters for the intakes , It doesnt have a vacumn advance but its setup for one on the hei Thaught I may try a vacumn advance off a 350 . Bruce ve1zp 12-06-2009, 11:59 AM Im havin fun with this motor haha, they are gonna have a 2 wheel drive truck pull next year at the exibition , thaught I may be able to pull the tow right out of the park ...I wanna keep the torque and maybe a bit of power , its a great old lugger .
