Got a guestion,Accord seams to idle good but when you give it gas it wants to miss.Haven't got a engine light though. Also, haven't checked but it seams to be taking more fuel to.Have done this to it ,,chg fuel filter, plugs, wires, pcv valve, checked trans fluid, checked fuel injectors while it was running unplugged each one at a time, rpm's dropped about the same on each one.Would their still be a code in the computer? The plugs I took out looked like one was burning clean and grey,3 others were kinda black. Not with oil though.Could it be the fuel pump or the regulator? Thanks

run a FULL bottle of Redline SI-1 with a tank of QUALITY gas and get back to us. I have a feeling you won't need to.

I ran that tank full of gas and cleaner, didn't help.Come to find out I had to drill out those brass egr port plugs and clean them.Wasn't to bad of a job either.Guy at the Honda Shop said they really sell alot of those replacement plugs . Runs really smooth now with no hesitation.:alien: :alien: :alien: :alien: :alien:

I have the same problem with my accord and the shop told me they needed to do exactly what you described for a cost of like 180$. I was wondering if you could tell me how you did this because i may be able to save some cash by doing it myself.

Thanks

Rob

Sorry for so late, have you fixed the problem?

Here's the fix.Go to the Honda Dealer and tell him you want 8 replacement Port Hole Plugs. These might will be stainless, origionals are solid brass. Take off your EGR valve, take out the couple bolts that hold the fuel rail down, lay fuel rail back or take off, on the intake you'll see 8 places where the holes are located,I used a 1/4 in. drill bit to remove them (center punch first) , when you're almost threw the plug ,it will spin and come out, do all, look in all the holes you'll see a 1/8 in. hole in the middle, to the other chamber, just clean out carbon. Most likely not all are stopped up .Blow out with air compressor the reinstall everything, hope this helps. Not that hard to do either.
