Power Window Motor Replacement

Has anyone replaced a power window motor on their van and if so what do you have to do to get the motor out?

I have the driver's side door panel, plastic vapor sheet removed and wire connector to the motor disconnected. What I can't figure out is how the motor is fastened in place and what must be done to get the thing out.

The motor looks to just be a snap in place fit as there are three plastic brackets on the overall regulator assembly however when I try pry them away from the motor (they are really snug) the motor just won't budge. Should I force it? Do I have to take the entire glass/regulator/motor assembly out of the door?

Help

The motors are either bolted or riveted to the door skin and bolted or riveted to the regulator. Typically the window will need to be in a specific spot in the door to make it easier to remove from the regulator. Once the window is removed from the regulator it can be held in the full up position with tape. The motor and regulator will then come out as an assembly. If the regulator has a coil looking spring make sure you figure out how to lock the gear part and the spring part together other wise it will fly apart when the motor is removed!

I don't believe rivets or bolts is how this one is attached as there are no places on the new one that have provisions for rivets or bolts.

It mounts to the regulator with these three holes.
