Can the oil pan be pulled in a 97 Cav with the 2.2. If so is it necessary to raise the motor? The engine has well over 200K and I would like to change the bearings - rods & mains

How can the ignition control module that the coils mount on be checked. The car seems to still hesitate occasionally when warm. Could this be heating up and creating problems?

Thanks,

I believe it can be, but I wouldn't go changing the bearings just because it has a couple hundred thousand miles on it.

The ignition module can be removed and tested (most auto parts stores will check them for free)... the problem is it's hard to test them while hot. That's probably not causing a hesitation, they usually just cut, losing spark to 2 cylinders and making it run very bad. Check the plugs, MAP sensor, TPS, and fuel pressure... all more likely to cause a hesitation than the ignition control module.
