Can some one please tell me if I can put a 2002 venture engine in a 2003 Venture? They both are front wheel drive . If it can what modifications do I need to do?

Thank You

will fit and does not come out from the top.It comes out from the bottom with engine/transmission still bolted together.

How about the wiring? there are some changes between 2003 and 2002?

I read that there are issues with fuel injectors and that the PCM might need some reprogramming or something.

The wiring and injectors are the same and the interchange book called a Hollander is sometimes wrong on interchange. That info you read is wrong

I put an '01 into my '97 and had to swap the injector assembly and take some brackets off old motor for new one...... Otherwise runs like a champ.

The problem was the Flex plate and camshaft sprocket that the camshaft sensor uses to read. I changed boh AND the engine is working great ,

Thanks for replying

Is there an advantage of using a 2003 engine instead of of 2002? Or it was the one that you could find economically? What happened to the 2002 engine that required you to get rid of it? Thanks. I may be in the same boat myself with the 1999 Venture I just got.

the 99 engine had the crankshaft bearing turn and then the connecting rod made a big whole in the engine The 2004 was a great deal. Only 63000km (40000 miles) for 300 Canadian and I got the whole car also.
