4L60E valve body-I dont get thismansopoor 11-08-2009, 05:30 PM ok i have a 97 Blazer 4X4 4.3L. with a P1870. I've heard that i need to replace the valve body, so i pulled it off today and looked at it. i was also told to look at the plate to make sure that one of the balls aren't stuck, and they weren't. The plate has a bit of wear on one hole but nothing to bad. The valve body.....well what can i say. I don't know what i'm looking for but the its made of aluminum and i don't see nothing wrong with it. Can someone PLEASE tell me what i'm looking for. thanks mansopoor 11-08-2009, 06:04 PM ok hear is some more for everyone to think of. is it possible i dont need a valve body but just a TCC, and to add on to that, the hole TCC (wire harness) or just the part of the TCC inside the valve body. mansopoor 11-08-2009, 06:23 PM ok hear we go again, is the TCC shaft that is in the valve body, is that supose to come out, cause i tried with LIGHT pressure, but it wouldn't move can some one please help longslide 11-21-2009, 10:25 PM just replace the valve body i had the same codes and i replaced the valve body and all was well. Sunliner 11-23-2009, 12:41 PM I had the Sonnax TCC kit installed on my 1997 Blazer. there's some drilling on the valve body involved that has to be right, so I had a shop do it. I think it was about $220 total, and it got me by for about 4 years before the transmission died at 140,000 miles. I don't know what a new valve body costs now compared to the TCC kit. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
