996 GT3 RS Tamiyatpliquid 11-06-2009, 07:52 PM This is a Tamiya porsche GT3 kit. I bought the reninsance rs kit for it. The reninance kit is kinda low quality as fitment is pretty bad. I am still working on the bumpers to get them to fit better to the tamiya kit. I added Carrera GT brakes, Carrera GT seats, Carrera GT steering wheel and shifter. Made GT3 RS roll cage. Sportech Mono wheels. CF mirrors CF roof. Some pics of the car: http://www.fuhhouse.com/pics/gt3rs1.jpg http://www.fuhhouse.com/pics/gt3rs2.jpg http://www.fuhhouse.com/pics/gt3rs3.jpg http://www.fuhhouse.com/pics/gt3rs4.jpg tuned.by.twenty 11-06-2009, 08:31 PM I love that interior! tpliquid 11-06-2009, 08:48 PM i really need to get a macro lense for my camrea :( das_auto 11-07-2009, 07:00 AM Excellent, Looks very good so far! Emil intuned 11-07-2009, 09:51 AM nice work so far!! i like your interior! oh and nice color choice for the calipers! it would be nice for the body too! btw, where do you guys buy those seat belts? i can't find any in local hobby shop around montreal :frown: da_ashman 11-08-2009, 06:50 PM Looking good so far, the Renaissance transkit is lacklustre, i have the Full body RSR transkit & the Interior set aswell (which is a copy of the 993 GT2 interior). Im hopping I can fix the transkits inaccuracies. Good luck with your build, i will be following this one!! tpliquid 11-09-2009, 01:57 PM thx for the comments guys. I got those seatbelts a few years ago. They are made by modellers which is now out of business :( MidMazar 11-09-2009, 10:47 PM Nice progress, i think this porsche will look great with the bumper. Good luck. drunken monkey 11-10-2009, 10:53 AM I was bitterly disappointed with this transkit when I saw some "live" photos of it, especially seeing as I was most interested in the wheels. I've kinda made the decision to model the small changes myself and live without the correct wheels. What are the clear resin parts like? tpliquid 11-10-2009, 11:48 AM they give you clear headlight lenses. they are just cut down of the originals to fit the new style bumper. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
