I replaced the fuel injector on my 99, 3 banger Chevy Metro after my local mechanic refused to do the work. He claimed that sometimes it works and you get better gas mileage and a smother running engine and sometimes it doesn't. He should have man up like I did. As discussed in one of the treads on this Forum their might be locktite on the screws that enable you to access the old and replace it wih a new injector. Well their was and I succesfully remove the 2 screws which were coated with the locktite. I proceeded with caution and removed the screws without a problem. Thanks to this Forum I was able to save money, I bought the injector off the internet, did the work myself and now the "Green Machine" with 183k purrs like a kitten.

Thanks for the advice,
Gasenvy:smile:

That local mechanic sounds like a dick... Good thing you got to do it yourself. Good luck with your Metro!
