Need help bad. 1987 Century Custom. Replaced Fuel Tank, Lines, pump, screen, all lines. Ran great 5 months. Then just died. No fuel out of injectors. Pump runs fine. Used Noid light no signal from ECM and the cooling fan running constantly. Went to the bone yard got ECM outa a 1987 Celebrity (1227748) plugged it in started right up. Drove for about a month. Now same exact thing. Just died, no signal to the injectors. Just bought a brand new ECM but before I put this one in is there anything I should check?? Just don't want to fry a new ECM unless I check everything first. Help???

did you swap the PROM chip from your original ECM to the one you got out of the Celebrity? Did they both have the same 1227748 OEM number on them? What do the wiring harnesses look like that plug into the ECM (are they corroded, missing pins, etc...) and are all the ground straps still present and in good order (there should be one between the engine and subframe, one from the engine to body and one from the body to subframe)?

Numbers on the ECM are/were the same but I did not change the Prom. Ran great no issues. Did not check straps and connections and plugs look clean and in good shape. I'll check those this evening before I put in the new ECM (Changing the prom of course as well).
