1961 Chevy ImpalaAlteredRides 11-05-2009, 11:40 PM This is a Lindberg Impala kit. I painted it with a Testors silver for the base coat, followed by a gloss red, and followed by Testors Transparent Hot Rod red. This was not clear coated. All I did was give it a wetsand, followed by polishing and buffing. The interior has been painted with flat red, flocked carpet, and seatbelts have been added. I will get some pics of the interior later on. Thank you for looking. http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc59/evansatlanta/178.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc59/evansatlanta/176.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc59/evansatlanta/177.jpg Mojo_stevo 11-06-2009, 12:34 AM Nice '61 fellow San Diegan. Nice work great work with a ll the chrome trim....gotta luv the Impalas!! AlteredRides 11-06-2009, 01:11 AM Thank you. BMF is my weak point, but I think I did alright with this one. Khier 11-06-2009, 10:25 AM I want that as 1:1 Silly question: Why the silver base coat instead of a matt red? AlteredRides 11-06-2009, 10:32 AM I used silver as a base coat to make the red stand out a little better. I usually use a white base coat but didnt have any on hand. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
