Ive owned the car for about two years and ever since I have had it the heater has not worked. And now my temp is getting up to about 220. Last week I replaced my intake manifold gasket, water pump, thermostat, radiator hoses, new cylinder head and gasket. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

give more details about heater:

do you hear blower fan?
does it work on any of the settings? if yes which settings work and which don't ? etc. the more details about the problem the better. Did you allready check some things? if yes what etc...

Every other setting works fine, but when i switch it over from to cool to heat, the air just stays cold and wont warm up. I havent checked anything on it yet.

there is a temperature door motor, I will look up more info how to test it.

maybe motor is bad..

the setting key that you turn is a rotary vacuum valve that applies vacuum to different actuators that control temperature door etc... so behind it check that all the vacuum lines are plugged in. They are color coded and each has a different function. Also check the temperature of the inlet and outlet heater core hoses by the firewall, they should be hot and warm when engine is warmed up.


to get to the temperature door actuator you will have to thake glove box completely out then you will be able to see the motor and test it.
