Lost 2nd gear and overdrivekkfos1975 11-03-2009, 11:31 PM I lost my 2nd gear and overdrive in my 1995 chevy silverado today. It has an electronic tranny. any idea's? 1st drive and reverse work. 2000CAYukon 11-04-2009, 12:46 AM 2nd Gear and 4th (Overdrive) both have the 2-4 Band applied. If you lost both of these gears, the 2-4 Band is slipping. Tranny needs to be removed and rebuilt to repair this failure. //2000CAYukon kkfos1975 11-04-2009, 12:48 AM 2nd Gear and 4th (Overdrive) both have the 2-4 Band applied. For 2nd, the A solenoid is OFF, B is ON. For 4th, A is ON and B is OFF. When it is suppose to shift to 2nd, does it feel like it goes into Neutral or does it stay in 1st? //2000CAYukon transman618 11-04-2009, 09:54 PM If you have lost 2nd and O/D but reverse is good then the issue is with the 2/4 band or band servo. The servo could be leaking or the band strut is broken. I would check the pan for debris. This is not an electrical problem. transman vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
