Throttle Bottle to Rear Valve Cover tube?

I'm getting codes after codes now and my buddy says a vac leak could be causing them all.

I found the tube running from just before the TB to the rear valve cover is busted where it goes into the valve cover. What is this tube called and where can I find it?

Thanks as always.

Do you mean the plastic tube that runs from the air intake hose to the rear valve cover? That is the breather hose for the PCV system and not really a vaccuum hose. You would want to repalace it though because the PCV will be pulling in unfiltered air and dirt getting into your engine is not good. You would probably get a new one at a dealer, or just get a good one off a car in the Junkyard.

What codes are you getting?

Im getting P0102,P0442,P0404. They all recently showed up at once. Find it very odd. I can afford to get it fixed but if I can figure it out myself I can save big money since i'm more than capable. I just suck at finding the problem. I am using a Fram Air Hog, im thinking the P0102 could be because of that. the other two not so sure.

Yeah I think so too the Airhog could get oil on the MAF causing it to read out of range. A vaccuum leak could cause PO122 MAF code and the Evap code, but I'm not sure that it'd cause that EGR code. There is another vaccuum hose more like a vaccuum hose assembly behind the throttlebody that feeds vaccuum to the PCV, I think Evap, fuel presure regulator, etc. Maybe if you get the bad hose you found replaced and check for vaccuum leaks you'll get rid of the codes hopefully.

The PCV breather tube needs to be connected to the rear rocker cover. A leak there will allow contaminants into the intake tract just ahead of the MAF which may contaminate the sensor.

The 404 is an EGR fault, and is immediately behind the MAF in the engine compartment.

The 442 is a leak in the evaporative emissions system. The tank vacuum control valve for the system is also behind the engine near the place where the PCV breather tube connects. The tank vacuum line is near that same area, and may have been disturbed in the process of diagnosing the PCV tube condition. The fuel cap also needs to be sealed to prevent this error code, and the purge
