Anyone have any experience with the service manuals they are selling on eBay, you know the ones on CD or DVD?

I'm not sure about all of them, but I heard one person bought the CD packet for service information that included all GM models and it quit working a few weeks later. I think they are pirated and if you don't have a subscription or password they quit working or maybe just expire. Probably just ahead to get an AllData subscription for your model.

That's what I was worried about, checking some of the sellers feedback on eBay there is a few comments relating to expired manuals and password issues and having to change the date on their computer to get around this.

How comprehensive is AllData? I'm looking for something that would cover the autoride system on my 2001 Tahoe. Thanks.

I think the AllData is pretty comprehensive being based off the factory info and is probably the next best thing to having the factory manuals. You could also probably find some good used 01 factory paperback manuals for your application cheap. No one can make a book stop working lol.
