wiring problemssparky11 10-30-2009, 12:54 AM i have an 03 w/ 4.3l v6 and the past couple days ive had the driver side flasher in the rear cut in and out. does anyone know a common area that the connections may go bad? no trailer wiring. MT-2500 10-30-2009, 10:04 AM Descrine cut in and out? When it does it is the front and rear turn signal light bright like normal? sparky11 10-30-2009, 11:45 AM when it cuts out the flasher in back doesnt work at all and the one in front blinks real quick so does the signal in thee truck. lights normal and bright. Airjer_ 10-30-2009, 12:20 PM When it doesn't work check for power at the socket. Sometimes a filament will break and then reconnect when jarred, always a possibility. The brake and turn signal are on the same circuit in the rear. The turn signal switch is what interrupts the power from the brake switch and allows power from the flasher to go to the rear bulb. It is entirely possible for the turn signal switch to also cause this. MT-2500 10-30-2009, 12:46 PM And do not forget grounds. sparky11 11-01-2009, 12:23 AM looked over the rear assembly today and everything looks good and it hasnt given me any problems today after i did it. and the bulbs still good MT-2500 11-01-2009, 07:22 AM looked over the rear assembly today and everything looks good and it hasnt given me any problems today after i did it. and the bulbs still good If it does it again find out if front or rear signal lights are droping out and work on that end. Bad bulbs and bulb sockets and wiring and grounds are things to check and even turn signal switch. But you need to catch it when it is doing it. Good Luck sparky11 11-08-2009, 10:37 AM i fixed it it was a bad bulb where the element was just touching MT-2500 11-08-2009, 11:45 AM Good find and fix. And thanks for posting back fix.
