2000 Montero Stalling after dead batterymikeheitz 10-28-2009, 07:12 PM Hey all, My Montero Sport ran fine until I left the headlights on Monday (yeah, dodo head here...). Got it jumped yesterday, and it runs but keep stalling any time I stop at a red light, stop sign, slow down for a turn... literally the idle will chug down to 200 RPMs or so then the engine cuts off. Obviously a bit dangerous to drive like that. I had the battery replaced today - was time for a new one anyways - but the problem persists. Alternator tests fine in the vehicle (I know that's not the best test) and I saw a post about a possible loose hose... any other thoughts? Am going to check the hoses tonight to make sure nothing loose. Hoping for some help that will save us an expensive trip to a mechanic. Thanks!
