Completed: Tamiya 1/24th Porsche 911 GT2 “Soko Keibi”generationx 10-25-2009, 02:39 PM This was a quick build for me, probably 7-8 modelling days work. A nice simple kit with some nice touches, such as the separate door handles and barely-visible intercooler. I added Studio27 seat belts but other than that it is box stock. I was expecting the decals to be a nightmare after my recent Celica Rally build, but these were a real pleasure to use, laying down well and responding nicely to MicroSol/Set. The paint is Tamiya white and Tamiya Bright Red which I used instead of MS-3 (couldn’t source any) – the match to the decals is pretty good. Anyway, here’s the pictures… http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f112/hamishrobson/01-2.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f112/hamishrobson/02-2.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f112/hamishrobson/03-2.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f112/hamishrobson/04-2.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f112/hamishrobson/05-2.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f112/hamishrobson/06-2.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f112/hamishrobson/07-1.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f112/hamishrobson/08-2.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f112/hamishrobson/09-2.jpg KevHw 10-25-2009, 03:29 PM Nice build. Haven't seen this kit before and it's quite a striking colour scheme. I think the engine and chassis could have done with a little wash though, since you've weathered the exhausts, it seems wrong for the rest to be so clean. Mojo_stevo 10-25-2009, 05:26 PM After market decal kit? Nice, I love this, good job. DerXL 11-08-2009, 10:09 AM Looking good and clean. Indeed a very nice and rare livery. Great job. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
