No Heat/Air in 2003 TauresMindyshop 10-24-2009, 08:51 PM Started car after work and no heat:crying:. Air not working either. I'm guessing its the blower because only getting a clicking sound. I have no experience in troubleshooting this. Can you please give me a few tips on what to say when I take it in and approx. cost. I'm in the Chicago area. You guys are the best. shorod 10-24-2009, 11:12 PM Do you get blower operation on any settings? Does your Taurus have the electronic temp controls or the manual (knob) controls? If you don't have blower on any fan settings the problem could be the blower motor or a fuse somewhere. If you have high speed but none of the lower speeds the problem is likely the blower motor resistor (or fan controller if you have electronic controls). I can't really suggest what either of these would cost to have them done. Many of the DIYers on this forum would opt to replace either of these items themselves since they are typically not too difficult. -Rod Mindyshop 10-25-2009, 03:29 PM Manual knobs. I drove the car this afternoon and 10 minutes after being on the expressway heat is working. Blower working on all settings. shorod 10-25-2009, 07:51 PM You probably have a loose connection somewhere, or a bad blower motor. If a connection, you'll want to get it fixed soon. There is a lot of current flowing through that circuit, a loose or dirty connection can easily cause enough heat to melt connectors and wires. If the brushes are worn in the blower motor, you can expect the motor to stop working again and a gentle kick to the blower motor on the passenger side footwell may get it working again. -Rod vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
