Trying to Find K&N-style Conical Air Filters

To finish up this wagon build (it has two in the induction tray.)

I can't find any on ebay (where I used to buy them), Hiro is out of stock, Reliable Resin only has the oval kind, and Perry's Resin doesn't do parts anymore.

Anyone have a good aftermarket parts supplier in North America with these things?

I lost my HUGE collection of scale model kit links with a HD crash a few months ago, and I need to try and recompile them. :uhoh:

I know one comes with the Revell 2006 Shelby GT-H model. I made this about a year ago. Other than that i'm not sure.

Close. As I said, I don't want the oval ones, I need round ones. Like the ones mustangemd19 posted about there. But I need two, without buying a whole kit, heh.

Are the ones you have ROUND, tuned.by.twenty? They have to be quite small, about a 1/4" in length.

Thanks guys!

They are round, and measure in at 3/16" long by 1/4" wide (At the base). If you go into the resin parts page in the catalogue there's a picture.

Wow what are the odds, I need a part and TWO people are in Canada with them! :o

Velo, is paypal okay? PM me with the address. You're slightly closer so shipping would be slightly quicker. ;)

tuned.by.twenty, I've bookmarked your page as I slowly begin to rebuild my parts bookmarks. :D

Fair enough, cheers! Hopefully the wagon comes together soon.

Hey twenty, i think you should create a smaller hole to fill with resin (bottom). As this is probably a one piece mold, what i would do is use a card on the top of the mold to wipe off the excess resin.

Because thats just excess resin below the actual filter right?

I'll answer that, since it's my part....

Part of it is excess resin but the slight bulge is part of the mold but not part of the filter... It's blue tack use to hold the original filter during the mold making process.

I could swipe the excess resin like you suggest but apart than giving less work to the builder, it doesn't change a thing in the molding process as I can re-use that resin....
