I'm starting to plan an engine/transmission and transfer case rebuilt. Ive been looking around trying to find a decent website that has either kits of individual parts. I have a basic understanding of how the engine goes together but the exact demotions, compression, and spacing/angle of cams and cranks elude me.
I have only been able to find racing websites but i want to up my HP for towing and off roading more than take off speed and the such, does anyone have any favorite dealers or sites to supply parts for a 1500 5.9 01 model?

thanks

I go with www.Summitracing.com for parts and I recommend a genuine factory service manual for specs.
I wouldn't try fine tuning the camshaft on a street engine.
Offset degree bushings are great for fine tuning the valve timing to keep the valves from hitting the pistons with .750" lift camshafts on race engines that run up less than 100 total miles then are taken apart a few times a year so you can check things.

That being said, here's a good source of camshaft degreeing info,
