Your clean built and the outstanding style of the pictures.... Awesome Tschö Dirk bigbertha 10-23-2009, 03:17 PM 3 brilliantly finished silver arrows. My favourite is the first, oldest '91, probably because I'm old and it's more my era but they're all great! gionc 10-23-2009, 03:59 PM Mostly I appreciated you back to the desk! Obviously the results are those we expect from you A. Con affetto, gio Outamyhead 10-23-2009, 04:23 PM Where did you get the c291 from, I have been looking around for the Merc's, Peugeot', Porsche's and Jag's that were involved in the 91 race where Mazda beat them? dmacb 10-23-2009, 06:13 PM Beautiful models and lighting! TurboGuru 10-24-2009, 12:20 PM Stunning work, love the CLK-GTR!! Can I ask, how do you do your panel lines? ... I've tried using a mechanical pencil but it ends up appearing 'dark grey' rather than black. P64 10-25-2009, 04:20 PM Thanks again for all the kind comments, then… Outamyhead, the C291 has been bought here http://www.dodicicilindri.it/html/home.htm (http://www.dodicicilindri.it/html/home.htm) website is not updated, you should email them. TurboGuru, I start rescribing all the panel lines sometimes with a thick hand-made scriber http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a163/RJ1108/AP/panelines3.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a163/RJ1108/AP/panelines4.jpg and sometimes with the SRC etched scriber blade http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a163/RJ1108/AP/panelines5.jpg Then, I paint without any care the panel lines with Tamiya semi-gloss black X-18 and, once dried, I remove the excess with a scratch-remover (Arexons in this case), obtaining a straight and clean line http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a163/RJ1108/AP/panelines1.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a163/RJ1108/AP/panelines2.jpg I hope the explanation would answer your question. Ale. DasWiesel 10-25-2009, 05:27 PM Thanks for your answer. Didn´t expect a simple Ral-colour to look that good. F1Tommy 10-25-2009, 08:32 PM Very nice work!!! That Black Box kit is not bad at all when finished. It is not long enough, but otherwise good. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2010 model/photo contest-Chicago April 2010 modlman17 10-25-2009, 09:16 PM I love them all but that C291 is my favorite. Great job!!!! Rob TurboGuru 10-26-2009, 05:33 AM Thanks again for all the kind comments, then… Outamyhead, the C291 has been bought here http://www.dodicicilindri.it/html/home.htm (http://www.dodicicilindri.it/html/home.htm) website is not updated, you should email them. Ale. Wow! Thank you for providing images! ... I don't think we have Arexons in the UK, but we do have 'Scratch X' which I think I could use instead. Interesting, I see most people use the same technique as yourself except they use a wash, usually the body colour mixed with black along with a thinner in the ratio of 1:10. I'm struggling to work out how best to apply this on a white car. Using the above method I could just mix white and black along with the thinner at 1:10 or use your method and apply something like "Tamiya Smoke" (light grey) directly onto the panel area. P64 10-26-2009, 06:55 AM I'm struggling to work out how best to apply this on a white car. Yes, Tamiya Smoke is a good option on white bodywork (panel lines darkness is a personal taste...). Nevertheless, I think you should go polishing afterwards, to have neat lines. Ale. indy1977tx 10-26-2009, 05:27 PM Very nice Mulsanne killers!! I like the evolution of the CLKs which are obvious in the incredible builds and outstanding photography. Jordan Viccario 10-26-2009, 06:45 PM All brilliant! sjelic 10-27-2009, 03:10 AM Amazing, I would never tell those are resin kits, I love mesh on the rear of CLK and overall "real" look of your models, nice to see you back. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
