OK...I give up. Where is the cabin air filter for a 2005 Tahoe??? I took the black cover off under the dash on the passenger side. I can't see where the filter might be. :confused:Any help would be appreciated.

Did you look behind the glove box? There might be an access panel you remove in the back of the glove box to gain access to the filter.

May not have one.

This Article has been updated by bulletin #PIT3330, dated December 22, 2004.

Condition/Concern:
A customer may inquire about the availability of the passenger compartment air filter.

Recommendation/Instructions:
Starting in 2003 model year, the passenger compartment air filter is no longer available as a factory option. With the redesigned HVAC case, there is no longer a cavity for the filter. The GM parts catalog indicates there is a replacement filter available; however, there is no provision for it.

Wix or NAPA doesn't list a cabin filter also.

Fram lists one for this vehicle, part #CF10360. I've seen one '05 with a filter over the years and 2 that didn't have one. I was told a few years back why the discrepancy as to some having them while others didn't but cannot remember the reason at this time.
