96 lumina, 3.1 l motor, does it matter which way the roller lifters are installed? i know the roller goes with the lobe of the cam, but does it matter which way the hole in the side of the lifter faces? some were facing the serp belt and other were facing the flywheel? i have a gm service maunel and it didnt say anything about it?:confused: i know how each one came out, i labeled them, but they have a decent amount of wear on them ( only on one side ) from the infamous lower intake gasket failure = coolant in the oil = and i am debating flipping them around to keep using them? thanks guys!!

f@@k it i bought new lifters, there going in the same way the old ones came out. thanks for the help!
