Repair manualjohnhinnc 10-19-2009, 09:07 AM Does anyone have a recommendation for a repair manual for a 2005 Camry? I see the downloadable versions at the top of the page, but can anyone recommend one in print? Haynes or Chilton? Thanks John Brian R. 10-19-2009, 10:59 AM IMO There is no adequate substitute for the Toyota FSM. Cannot recommend others. RIP 10-19-2009, 03:13 PM Agreed. The Toyota factory service manual is the way to go though even it has it's problems. A Haynes or Chiltons is good as a basic reference but don't expect it to get you through every procedure without some guessing along the way. Some subjects are deemed too complicated for us so they skip the subject. The online manuals at OPLIN.org are hardly comprehensive, but can get you headed in the right direction. They cover just about any vehicle on the road including variations between models but some cars have little info while others are loaded with info. Then there's the online pay sites like Alldata and Mitchel's. I've never tried them. Mike Gerber 10-19-2009, 05:17 PM Download the generation 5.5 Toyota Camry factory service manual stickied at the top of this forum. Burn it to a CD, if you have that option on your computer. Then print the specific pages you need to work on as they are needed. That's what I usually do. It's specific to your 2005 and will be a lot more informative than a Haynes or Chilton's.
