blazer fuel filter ?bass_caster 10-18-2009, 02:26 AM OK...DUMB QUESTION TIME... where the heck is the fuel filter on my moms 99 blazer? i assumed it would be mounted on the inside of the frame rail like it is on my tahoe but its not down there. her fuel filter is overdue for a change. is it in the engine compartment? somewhere else?? also, is it the metal canister type or the pleated paper tpe? what should i look for and where? thanks wafrederick 10-18-2009, 10:55 AM It is under the vehicle on the frame rail.I do have one tip,get a 20mm wrench instead of using a 13/16" wrench since it fits better on the fuel filterfitting. It is a metal canister. ZL1power69 10-19-2009, 09:21 PM its on the driver's side frame rail (look under the driver's door). Its a metal canister held on by a black plastic clamp with fuel lines clipped into the top. bass_caster 10-20-2009, 07:06 PM its on the driver's side frame rail (look under the driver's door).
