I have a 1997 S-10 , 2.2l, just replaced alternator, and ground battery cable and battery. Voltage meter on dash reading exceedingly high, ABS, Battery light and Air Bag lights on in dash, plus hugh smell of sulfer. Battery and alternator tested by triple A, and they said all good. Conerned electrical problem . Any assistance would be helpful.

With engine running at 2 K What is the charging voltage?
A weak cell in a battery or low acid will call for a over charge.

If you are using rebuilt you might check out Brand new ones at your parts place.
Sometimes not much higher and a lot better.
Good luck.
