i have a 04 impala ls with about 60,000 miles and it has the 3800. I am having a problem with the dual climate hvac. when i turn on the heater the passenger side is hot but the driver side just blows out cold air. I did some homework on this and pulled the drivers side actuator. before i unhooked it i started the car and switched the controll from hot to cold to see if the actuator would spin and it did. then i shut off the car and tried it again and this time it didnt spin. so what i did was go ahead and unhooked it. then with the car started i had both controlls on heat and i turned the lever that the actuator hooks to by hand untill i had heat coming from the drivers side as well. i did this last night and today my wife drove the car to work and guess what no heat on the drivers side. when she got home i went out there and turned the lever (where the actuator hooks to) the opposite way and i had heat again. now this has me stumped. how would this change on the drivers side with no actuator hooked up? does any one have any ideas? i would appreciate it.
