Hi Guys,
Some of you guys probably noticed that Hobby Design released some general brake disc sets with various diameter sizes from 230mm to 330mm. Somehow I just can't figure out which one could be the best to my taste as I can't figure out the sizes. A normal nowadays car has usually 14" or 15" brake discs, some sportier model has 17", 18" and up. Now, my problem is that a 14" brake disc has a 355,6mm diameter, which is slightly larger than the biggest one form HD, not to mention the 18" brake disc which is 457,2mm. In this case, they can only be used to smaller rim sizes, so there maybe for older models. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm stuck :-), any help is appreciated!

There are no 'normal' cars on 14" or 15" rotors.

The front rotors on my M3 are a bit over 12". By today's standards, these are still considered large for street cars. Add on a caliper and the smallest wheel that I can fit is 17" (with a 'barrel', or inside diameter, of more than 14"). The front brakes on my wife's 'normal' BMW are about 10". She runs 16" wheels, and some 15" will just fit.

A 15" rotor would require wheels with a barrel of at least 17"- which would be about a 20" wheel. Those are rotors for track supercars, not street cars.

my stock brakes is 12 inch.

Some cars come with 10 inch brakes.

13 inch brakes will fit under 17's
14 will need 18

The size mentioned are brakes for that size of wheels, so if you have 15" discs you can put them inside of a 15" wheel.

330mm discs would be a big brake upgrade for most cars and normally would require them to upgrade to 17" or 18" wheels. i'm guessing you mean "normal" on most modern sport/GT cars.
