ok so i had 17% tint all around my grand cherokee 4.7L v8 limited i had the front side windows 17% because it matched the back factory tinted windows. i am going to the tint shop this weekend to get a layer of 5% over the 17% al around is it possible to tint over the front side windows since they were factory tinted can u tint over them? if u understand wat i mean i kno u can tint over the factory tinted but the front is just plain auto tinted can u just tint 5% over that without any problems? any suggestions

If there is a tinting film on the front windows as in a shop putting it on, you do not want to put another layer on it. It will start peeling over time as the window rolls up and down. I would strip the front, put 5% on it, then have the shop put a tint over the factory tint in the back to shade match it to the front...ie...making it 5% all the way around. I think they put 15% on my back to match the 5% on the front. A good tint shop can match it perfectly.

yeah i think im gonna strip the front and just do limo all the way around. they shud b able to match the back with it idc if the back is darkerrr more privacyy ;) lmao. but ya i was gona put 17 inch black rims on it but im workin on getin the money.. and id love to see ur jeep hit me up with a pic bro.

There is a chance a cop will stop you for this,check state laws first and window tint laws in Michigan are out there.My father knows an used car dealer that has been pulled over for this,window tint too dark.

Yeah I will get you a pic. Yes a good shop can match the back with the front. As far as wheels, the 1999-04's are a 5X127 lug pattern, so there are not that many wheels that will fit. I am running 18's with a 255/55/18. The 255 is nice because the width fills the wheel well and the truck doesn't look like its riding on pizza cutters.
