Both my temp and oil pressure gauges are not working, the oil goes up to 80 and does not move, and the temp stays at 0. Do these share a ground? Is there a wire diagram anyone has? Or any other ideas, is the oil pressure sender at the back of the head by firewall, and temp on side of engine by distributor? Thanks for the info! Any ideas?

As to where they are we will need to know what engine.

Both sending units have there own ground wire on them.

I always check the dash gauges with a old type bulb test light.
Grond it to engine and turn key on and hook it to sensing unit wire to insturment panel.
It should light up dim and.
That should move gauge if dash gauge is working.

Wiring diagrams are copy rihght and can not be posted in open forums.
For wiring diagrams.
A factory repair manual or.

Sometimes auto zone web site has some.
And most public libarys have car repair info.

No problem.
But engine makes a big difference.
On 2.5 engine
The coolant tempt sensor for dash gauge is left rear corner of cylinder head.
Coolant sensor for pcm is at themo stat housing.
The oil pressure sending unit for dash gauge is at oil filter.

Did both quit same time?
Always check fuse's.

I just got the truck, I've had a few problems with the truck, replaced valve cover gasket, stopped leaking but then started leaking from oil fill cap, replaced that now leaking from valve cover again...Im thinking possibly pcv valve, gonna check that next, and then the gauges, volts work, the oil psi shoots up to 80 and stays, and the temp gauge does not move. I checked the gauges fuse and that is good. My oil light does stay off.

Check sending units and wiring.
Get a bulb test light and hook it on sending unit wire going to dash gauge and see if it will work dash gauge.
Good luck

No on light up gauge but it should fire it up like in move it.
If test light gets dim it should move gauge.

Does the test light get dim?
