Has code been cleared and come back?

If so you will need a engine capable scanner and a repair flow chart for code P0496.

The repair flow chart can be found in the factory repair manuals or a All data on line sub.

Go threw the complet repair flow chart as outlined.

Found the problem... i hooked a engine capable scanner to it, tested the purge solenoid, could hear it click... next day smoke tested it...was clickin but not functioning, stuck shut....replaced the soleniod and no more code!!!!
