Just bought a 2006 F150 with a standard dash and single disc cd player. Wanted to upgrade the dash to one that has a tach... is this a plug and play item to change if i can find a standard with tach dash? Also would like to have the radio controls on the steering wheel... again is this a plug and play application if i can find the replacement buttons on the steering wheel?

The tach w/ instrument panel is. Not sure about the steering wheel, but if I had to bet, I'd say yes. But that doesn't necessarily mean the existing Radio unit is good to go. Take your truck into a Dealer & ask some of the mechanics. There's usually 1 or two that specialize in interior & dash work. Personally I could care less about reaching for the tuner, but I couldn't stand not haveing a tach and aftermarket add ons always look out of place.
