Well a B16a will cost like between 3400 and no more than 3900$ a B18 well depends what kind of b18 if its a b18c1 its gunna be like between 4 and 5 grand and a h22 is just to much work you should just stay away from that its alot of work on the install and is heavy and you need to get new suspension that can take the weight load. The numbers arnt to precise but can give you an idea basicly if you goto a website that sells the engines thats usually the price you can expect to see and just add about 1500$ for install my buddy is gettin a B16a in his crx and he got quoted 1500$ for just the install and like 3400 for the entire job.

At the most,at the most professional shop this swap cost NO MORE than $2900 w/LSD and complete installation.

Depending on the car and the motor going in a 1st gen B16 should cost around $1200-1600 + install and around $2200 for the motor + install for the later ones. The process isn't that hard and a place that is charging over $800 is a burn.Think about it,a full over haul barely cost that much and a swap doesn't even involve a quarter of the work.

B16A's range from $1150-$2350 complete, and there is no shortage of them, that is an excuse they use to help them drive prices up so the can get paid more to do less. The swap, especially in a shop shouldn't take more than a few hours,if they have a back log of work, then they are charging you for storage and you should make an appointment instead of dropping the car off.but charging $1150 for no more than 10 hours of work ($115 per hour) is ridiciulous. But I guess as long as there are people willing to pay sums like that for the idea of a swap then more power to them for seperating people from their cash.

Now if i have it correct jcrx u live in germany? or are u just from there and live in the states? i dunno the currency exchange from u.s dollors to whatever money it is u have the euro is what im guessing but things might just be a lil cheaper over there than in the states. I was just pondering about that and maybe thats why were having the dispute.

hey, i have been researching on info and part for engine swap for a 92-95 civic. i wanted to swap a h22a into a civic. i found a website that sells engines, and the h22a cost 3,700 (go to http://www.totaljdm.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/engines.displayenginecodes/carBrand/Honda/honda_jdm_engines.htm )but in order to make the swap you need engine mounts, wiring, axles, a bracket kit witch moves fuel filter clutch lines exap purge and throttle cable, (optional) shift box, shift linkage, upgrade suspension(use integra springs), and a bunch of other stuff. to look at this list go to www.h22acivic.com/9295h22aswap.phtml.

hey, if you choose to swap the h22a into your civic i found a turbo kit for this swap, it comes with a T3/T4 hybrid turbo. go to http://www.importperformanceparts.net/imports/fmax_honda.html
