i think the magenta/pink combo looks a bit too much like Yashio Factory. I'd vote the white for the sleeper/clean look or the yellow for a more outrageous style.

Wishieftrottle
10-04-2009, 05:04 AM
yep, that pink is like Yashio Fact....but it looks like infantion way

The best choice will be pure white with black small things (mirrors, hood, wing, lolipop under front bumper, and wheels -maybe)

I think with this colors combo that car is gonna look so mature :p

Blue Fin was Aoshima's importer, now MRC imports the kits for Aoshima.

Rear bumper and side skirts are more bright. You should spray all body parts togheter. Anyway nice progress

I know, the body was sprayed only with white surf.

Right now all the body parts are covered with pure white!:licka:

And headlights are almost done. There are mising black lines on the tail lights.

And rims are sprayed to black.

have a look...

Nice progress. I'm assuming the rear bumper hasn't been glued on yet because of the huge bumper gap. You might want to spray the wheels from the underside too because from the photos, it appears that it's not been covered completely yet.

I appreciate that you like it :)

And I wanna say, that nothing has been glued yet! Because I always try at least 10 times to put all parts together without glue before I will use glue

Just next photos (without glue :-D )

The tail lights which will be exactly the same on my car:lol2:

Hey dude, looking good. 1 point - everything behind the glass lens of the front lights is a dark metallic grey colour which looks black from any kind of distance, but theres a part on the bumber that youve missed (Aoshima & Tamiya are classic for doing this), the entire light unit is a seperate part (which is VERY expensive), this pic shows the colour a little better, let me know if you need any more S15 photos, ive got one in the garage

Notice the black edge around the lens on the real car? It's easily done with a black permanent marker. Just lightly and carefully go around the edge of the plastic with the magic marker, and if you slip up a little, just use some mineral spirits and it comes right off....Just don't let the mineral spirits stay on the part for any length of time as it could damage the surface. DON'T USE LACQUER THINNER OR ANY OTHER "HOT" THINNER! you'll ruin your part.

da_ashman: Hey buddy. Thats cool, that youve got one in you garage. And of course I know what you think, but I wanna do some custom lights.
On the other side I would be happy if you could post some photos of tail lights and interior. I mean detailed photos. Id really appreciate that:cool:
And U can take a picture of front lights too.....for inspiration:)

rsxse240: I totally know what Ure talking about. I did it on my last project Toyota Supra (as you can see below) and I gonna do that on this too, don´t worry:icon16:

Also, dont use the seat locations on the floor!!! the driver looks like hes 4ft tall. Those seats are not very well engineered, just imangne sitting in them, tilt them back & move them back..
