will 302 fuel injection interchange with a 351w that is coming out of a 1986 f-150? Or should i try to get more power out of my fuel injection?

The 302 intake will not bolt to the to the 351 and Ford is this way.Nothing interchanges with the 302 and 351 which is one of Ford's hard ways.It goes by this: If there is a hard way to things,Ford has it including 6 month changes.

Talk to the Mustang guys. Not all of the stuff may work but it should get you in the right direction.
