1999 intrepid tranny problems

Hi there i was wondering, i just swapped a 99 intrepid 2.7 with a 98 intrepid 2.7, 99 was blown, i installed the 98 tranny with the engine, the plug by the tranny dipstick was different from the 98 to the 99, so i replaced the plug, all the wires are at the same place and the same color. now, the dash shift indicators are all lit up and the tranny does not shift gears, it goes in reverse, forward but seems like its stuck in second and wont shift up or down, even manual shifting does not work, i swapped the tcm and the ecm to match the engine not the car, same as original computer, park neutral switch works casue i got reverse lights and it will not start in gears only park and neutral... any ideas? thank you
