Amalgam releases 1/8th scale LeMans winning UenoClinic F1 GTR #01R

I'm impressed by their attention to detail in converting the model from an LM to the GTR. It wasn't exactly "simple" to do. Appears it has the cross-eyed driving lights on the front bonnet too. I do think they should have gone with the Lehto flat bottom steering wheel though.

Here is the model McLaren F1 owners & enthusiasts have been hoping for - a large scale replica of the fantastic "Ueno Clinic" car that won the 1995 Le Mans. Each 1/8 scale handbuilt model is 23" long and complete with carbon fiber base and case cover.

The price is CAN$6250 / US$5650 / €3975 + shipping.

Actually, I don't see a reverse light on the model, but #01R does have a pair of red lenses mounted up in those locations:

The strategically placed block of wood confirms your comment about the handbrake, if there was any question.

Now, is that tread I see on those tires? ;) They were on the car when you saw it at ASI as well, and do appear to be a rain tire. That's certainly fitting as without the showers that fell in those 24 Hours (and the amazing Finn behind the wheel) it is a safe bet that #01R wouldn't be quite so special.

One last thing, they have carried over the LM,s OZ wheels, the 95 GTR,s have wider spoke sections.

Little details I know, but its the attention to detail that makes the difference. But like the LM model its these flaws that spoil an otherwise exceptional model.

Not far off indeed, Erik.

My apologies, it just looked a bit disproportionate to what I had in my 'mind's eye'.

It's just a pity that there are a few anomolies in this model, but I'm sure that it's one impressive beast in the flesh. It's just sad anoraks like us that will pore over the nuances I'm sure. ;) The lucky bast .. sorry ... owners won't care too much, I'm sure!

None of the treatments helpmed me so far..:(
the only treatment is to treat yourself by buying these models :)
i thought my mclaren collection was complete but with minihcamps re-releases and these amalgam models its far from complete..:(

I stopped looking after I saw those terrible mistakes, come on Amalgam, its not as if you are asking UT model prices for your product.

And the side windows, there is some screws or what they are, the silver ones which were also the LM back then and once again this model has them too. I think they should not be there?
