Amalgam releases 1/8th scale LeMans winning UenoClinic F1 GTR #01RPeloton25 09-30-2009, 05:23 PM Now where did I leave my checkbook? :grinyes: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1%20H/1-8uenof1gtr.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1%20H/1-8uenof1gtr_engine.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1%20H/1-8uenof1gtr_interior.jpg >8^) ER mini magic 09-30-2009, 05:48 PM Droool Peloton25 09-30-2009, 06:25 PM I'm impressed by their attention to detail in converting the model from an LM to the GTR. It wasn't exactly "simple" to do. Appears it has the cross-eyed driving lights on the front bonnet too. I do think they should have gone with the Lehto flat bottom steering wheel though. >8^) ER Peloton25 09-30-2009, 09:09 PM CollectorStudio.com has pricing and a few details, similar to the LMs: Here is the model McLaren F1 owners & enthusiasts have been hoping for - a large scale replica of the fantastic "Ueno Clinic" car that won the 1995 Le Mans. Each 1/8 scale handbuilt model is 23" long and complete with carbon fiber base and case cover. The price is CAN$6250 / US$5650 / €3975 + shipping. You can read more about this model here: http://www.collectorstudio.com/index.cfm/ID/16/itemID/4022/details/1?cl= This model hasn't been added to the hi-res Gallery on Amalgam's site yet, but I am really looking forward to seeing those images. >8^) ER Sami Aaltonen 09-30-2009, 11:29 PM OK, nice! But not that price even it's big one. :eek7: hurstg01 10-01-2009, 02:06 AM I got the email too yesterday :) - too pricey for me at the moment though........ murraydeschot 10-01-2009, 11:45 AM Maybe just me, but the gearshift doesn't 'look' right. Peloton25 10-01-2009, 12:06 PM Here's some reference photos Murray - not that far off really. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1%20H/th_01rinterior5yk.jpg (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1%20H/01rinterior5yk.jpg) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1%20H/th_2zp3.jpg (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1%20H/2zp3.jpg) >8^) ER Le Man 10-01-2009, 12:12 PM They have done it again!! :banghead::banghead::banghead: When did #01R "HAVE" HANDBRAKE CALIPERS REVERSE AND FOG LIGHTS STREET TYRES. (OK so they may be rain tyres ) Fitted????? I stopped looking after I saw those terrible mistakes, come on Amalgam, its not as if you are asking UT model prices for your product. Sorry but its flawed. Great shame. Peloton25 10-01-2009, 12:17 PM ^^^ was waiting for that one... :grinyes: Actually, I don't see a reverse light on the model, but #01R does have a pair of red lenses mounted up in those locations: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1%20H/mclarenf1gtr.jpg The strategically placed block of wood confirms your comment about the handbrake, if there was any question. Now, is that tread I see on those tires? ;) They were on the car when you saw it at ASI as well, and do appear to be a rain tire. That's certainly fitting as without the showers that fell in those 24 Hours (and the amazing Finn behind the wheel) it is a safe bet that #01R wouldn't be quite so special. >8^) ER Peloton25 10-01-2009, 01:50 PM Morry has offered up another pair of photos I had not seen yet: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1%20H/1-8uenof1gtr_side.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1%20H/1-8uenof1gtr_rear.jpg >8^) ER Le Man 10-01-2009, 02:34 PM I regress on the comment I made, reference reverse/ fog lights :chair: If they are rain tyres, do they have the exact tread patern? But come on "HANDBRAKE CALIPERS ON A RACECAR" :banghead::banghead::banghead: One last thing, they have carried over the LM,s OZ wheels, the 95 GTR,s have wider spoke sections. Little details I know, but its the attention to detail that makes the difference. But like the LM model its these flaws that spoil an otherwise exceptional model. payso 10-01-2009, 02:40 PM http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6955001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6955001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6883001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6883001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6962001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6962001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6888001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6888001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6886001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6886001.jpg) http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6885001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6885001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6889001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6889001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6898001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6898001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6903001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6903001.jpg) http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6948001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6948001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6950001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6950001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6952001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6952001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6904001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6904001.jpg) (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6886001.jpg) mini magic 10-01-2009, 02:56 PM One last thing, they have carried over the LM,s OZ wheels, the 95 GTR,s have wider spoke sections. My apologies, it just looked a bit disproportionate to what I had in my 'mind's eye'. It's just a pity that there are a few anomolies in this model, but I'm sure that it's one impressive beast in the flesh. It's just sad anoraks like us that will pore over the nuances I'm sure. ;) The lucky bast .. sorry ... owners won't care too much, I'm sure! mclarenmaniac 10-01-2009, 10:17 PM http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6955001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6955001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6883001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6883001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6962001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6962001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6888001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6888001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6886001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6886001.jpg) http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6885001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6885001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6889001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6889001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6898001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6898001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6903001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6903001.jpg) http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6948001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6948001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6950001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6950001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6952001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6952001.jpg)http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/th_IMG_6904001.jpg (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6904001.jpg) (http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i196/payso-f1/01R%201-8/IMG_6886001.jpg) Wow!!
