Cylinder Heads on 2.5L and 2.3L

I am looking to replace my cylinder head on my 97' ford ranger(2.3L) and it seems that i have bought the only year that is not in the yards. would it be possible to swap a 99' 2.5 cylinder head and put it on my 2.3?
