Couple problems: '92 Rt/Ttrobkiehl21 09-28-2009, 02:20 AM Couples minor things with my Stealth.. When driving there is some kind of a noise coming from the rear driver side wheel.. It is not a bent rim or anything like that and the tire has been replaced so it is not that. The noise is just a kind of thumping noise, about once or twice a second.. I have been thinking it is a wheel bearing? Any other thoughts? Next the a/c is broken, as I've discovered I need a new relief valve off of the compressor.. And Mitsubishi wants over 100 dollars for a little brass valve that should only cost 3.. Has any one else had this problem and fixed it slightly cheaper? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. AutostradaVR4 09-28-2009, 06:21 AM thumping could be the bearing...also may be the strut. for OEM parts, Cherry hill mitsubishi if prolly ur best bet. Ordering on their site seems to be about a 30% discount. Other than that, get on 3si and look for someone doing a partout. Girly VR-4 10-02-2009, 03:21 PM these cars aren't cheap to fix. you're gonna have to get used to that idea. lol vectorspecialist 12-06-2009, 02:50 PM check the wheel bearing, lift the car and spin the wheel, listen for a grinding type noise, if not hold the tire(while on the car) at 12 and 6 and shake it firmly and smoothly. for strut possibilities i've found going over a small(1") lip of like a garage helps the most, if it is the strut it should clunk when you back over and down off the lip as for the a/c, it's winter it snowed yesterday you don't need it, and for the summer you got 2 windows...just jking, if that's what it needs then pay it, like she said, these car's are expensive for most things vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
