Hi all,
I have a 1997 Geo Metro LSI 4Cly Auto and the shifting is jerky.
Example: From a stop it seems too be in 2nd gear. If I floor it then it slowly speeds upto about 15-20 MPH before jerking down into 1st and revs high for a second then back to 2nd.

I think it might be a rev sensor but I'm not sure and would like some advise before replacing anything.

So let me know what you all think. I hope my example is clear enough if not let me know.

Thanks,
Zechariah

Does anyone know if there is a torque sensor, TPS, or shift solenoid that I can check?
and if so is there any test I can do to see if that's the problem?

Thanks,
Zechariah

What most people do when they have problems with the auto trans is to drop the pan and replace the filter and gasket.

When the pan is down, you can test the solenoids............
