Just bought an 03 c240 and can't find the CD changer. Where is it?

if it is not in the golve box,, you don't have one.

If I buy one do you know if they are plug and play? Having only a tape deck is a bit ridiculous. I wouldn't mind going aftermarket, but I don't want BestBuy to butcher my ride.

to a point,-- they will work but not perfectly, long story short, due to the fiber optics used for sound, there is factory coding of the radio that will need to be done.

Well, thank you sir. Apparently there is a single CD radio that I can put in my C240. Or, atleast LKQ thinks so on eBay.
