thank.:runaround::jerking:I have the same performance coming from my 99' venture. Is that the tranny? I'm a Soldier and I have carpentry skills but I know nothing about cars other than basic stuff. BTW, I don't have codes showing up yet. Let us know how it works out for you. GL

I have a 99 Montana that had the same problem. Kicks like a mule and a code comes up. It is the torque converter clutch lockup solenoid in which you have to rebuild the transmission to fix it. I had it checked at a dealership just to be sure. You have to take off the side cover and to do that you have remove the transmission. They said it cannot be accessed by the bottom cover. They said they could fix it for $1295. I said no thanks. I drove it like that for years until I had to replace the motor due to the intake gasket problem that it is famous for. When I replaced the motor, I also replaced the transmission with a GM remanufactured one from a dealership in my area for $1600 and put it in with the motor. This one works great. No more kicking and it shifts smooth and doesn't shudder on take off. I guess its up to you on what you want to do. Good luck.
