This is model which I won in competition on another Polish forum with my Ducati

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/IMG_1659.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/IMG_1667.jpg

Now I have started with Nissan in next competition on the same forum.
So wish me luck and go to work.

At the beginning is standard work: polishing, deepening panel lines etc.

You forgot to paint the back end of the engine bay the body color (behind the motor block). Either way nice progress.

This is already - in sure sense - the colour of body.

Why did you remask the trim around the engine bay? Did you paint it a different shape, or type, of black?

M.Boy
09-28-2009, 12:12 PM
Yes I painted it black flat.

Looks good, but was there a lot of trimming required? Once the decal is on the car? The cf looks flawless btw, can't wait for some clear.

PS The way sms put the templates on the decals is retarded!! :slap:

Wow! First cf gtr I've seen and you're doing great progress. That's also some serious patience on the masking of the engine bay but the results show the reward for your effort. Looking good, can't wait to see more.

Yes I'm going to put 2k Zero clear coat and before put some black clear from GaiaColor. Front fender vents will be also in CF but with different pattern.

Short, English version:
Awesome job :]

Many thanks.

I made a break from the CF decals and I got the wheels.
I washed tamiya's chrome

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/award/IMG_8427.jpg

and painted gun metal GaiaColor

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/award/IMG_8428.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/award/IMG_8435.jpg

and added air valves. I compared air valves by Aber and by A+club

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/award/IMG_8589.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/award/IMG_8590.jpg

Aber's valves are too big

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/award/IMG_8592.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f257/grafit_photo/award/IMG_8593.jpg

so I used A+

One more thing, you have to be a really good modeler to take photos this close of your work. I tried it once and it showed all sorts of flaws that I could not see beforehand.
