Hey All,
I have a 2000 ls 3.4l approx 157,000 miles. I just had the computer replaced in it along with the cam shaft pos. sensors and all of the wires were checked due to the "stalling" as I was driving down the road. Now my wife has told me that everytime she cranks the car the mileage on the odometer has swithced from the "trip" mode to the actual mileage mode, the radio clock resets itself at 12:00 and there is a "popping" sound coming from the speakers that sounds like you are plugging in the amp or some other musical instrument. The clock radio and mileage thing is inconsistent however the popping sounds occurs at every crank. There is no sound when you just turn the key to the on position but as soon as you put a load on the engine to crank it, you have the popping sound, other than that everything seems to be normal. Could this be battery related or is the radio starting to go (the cd hasnt worked for the last 3 years)? thanks

Bad battery or a bad/loose battery cable or ground.
