Why do i have to let my 02 van warm up ( run a little). Make sure IAC is working properly. Grandminievan2002 09-22-2009, 09:22 AM Thanks tempfixit How do you test that? RIP 09-23-2009, 01:57 PM As it's warming is the idle rpm above the normal 7-800 rpm? When you turn on the A/C does the idle rpm stabilize at the normal 7-800 rpm or slightly higher. When you decelerate coming off a highway does the rpm stabilize as normal? When you turn the steering wheel left and right does the rpm stabilize and not kill the engine? If you answered yes to all, your IAC valve is working. One possiblity, the torque converter clutch solenoid or clutch itself. Could be as simple as spark plug gap adjustment. http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl837b.htm vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
