What's the name of (Cooling Sys)...?rogriffi62 09-20-2009, 02:09 PM While working on the head gasket and other gaskets changes at the same time I broke the quick disconnect fitting below the temperature sensor. It's almost directly above the exhaust crossover pipe. It's the only thing that was leaking after doing the top engine rebuild. I have a 92 v6 engine with ac if that helps. The fitting connects to the heater pipe at the other end. I haven't seen the part in either my Haynes manual or Advance auto parts or Autozone web sites. Thanks The_Mechanic_33 09-20-2009, 02:13 PM They are available at parts store you may have to go there, dealer has them but you gonna pay more. heres a googloe link->>http://www.google.com/search?q=gm+heater+hose+connector&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&ie=&oe= rhandwor 09-20-2009, 06:32 PM rogriffi62 09-22-2009, 11:09 AM Thanks for the reply. I went to Advance Auto and got another one and installed it yesterday but I didn't have time to check if it leaks bacause I had to go to work. Today I went out and the new one leaks also. I have always had trouble with with these type of fittings. I am going to pull it back off again and get a different connector preferably a screw in kind or one from some other vehicle that I can use a clamp on. Thanks again. intimadatorsquizz 09-22-2009, 11:20 AM that is the heater hose quick connector if you already changed it ehn something else may be wrong with the hose.the GM part # 24503681 is available from Dorman which you can buy at any auto parts store part #800-401 it's item 79 in the picture http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr59/intimadatorsquizz/junk/untitled1.gif rogriffi62 09-23-2009, 10:41 AM Found a regular heater hose connector / with the heater pipe attached to it off of a 89-90 beretta. It is the screw on type and installed it today. It doesn't leak. Like I said before I have always had trouble getting the quick connects to seal. I don't know why they had to change something that works. I think that the pipe is smaller than what they give me to replace the connector or else the o-ring is a shade to small in the connector. Any how thanks for the name of the part. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
