99 Blazer ZR2. Need to buy a new fuel pump.. Looking for part#'s?five04ever 09-18-2009, 06:18 PM Well after reading many threads stating to bring the tank down carefully, so you don't snap off the plastic pump in/outlet tips... OOOPS! I tried but the tank didn't stay put and one of the tips broke. Bummer! I found that 2 of the plastic retainer clips were also in bad shape maybe because the local shop did a poor job of installing a new pump about 2 years ago... They put in an AIRTEX... Guess thats good for an AIRTEX being nobody likes them. Anyway, I was dropping it because i keep getting the P0452/P0453 code and the gas consumption is very bad, so wanted to atleast change out the pressure sensor and connectors to see if that eliminated the codes. Also, before i dropped the tank i checked the fuel pressure and it was around 52psi, and slowly creeped down in pressure, so maybe the pump is bad anyway, or the o-ring seal may not be good? Now that i have to buy a pump and clips too... ACDelco of coarse. I need the part #'s... I called the local GMDealer and they gave me #9177256 and i believe that also has MU1755 associated to it for the pump?.... Just want to make sure i buy the right pump. I didn't get the part #'s for the retainer rings. Can anyone confirm this for me... Here are the specs 1999 Chevy Blazer ZR2, 4.3 V6, CSFI to MFI conversion (hmmmm!), "W" vin. Feel free to comment on the CSFI to MFI conversion..... This was done after the fuel pump, but the codes were there even before the fuel pump was changed out... Long story! Thanks wafrederick 09-19-2009, 03:34 PM Go call your nearest Carquest parts store, they sell Delphi fuel pumps now which AC Delco's pumps are made by,Delphi. five04ever 10-05-2009, 10:54 AM Thanks wafrederick! note: i type-o'd the GM part# it's 19177256 and it appears the MU1755 is the Delphi number. Anyway... Took me awhile to get the $ for a new pump, so about to buy it either from rockauto(on-line) for $298.79 +ship, or carquest $376.99 +tax. Not sure if rockauto has the complete 'drop-in' pump or not, but the local carquest tech said they have the pump in stock and it's a complete drop in, so may go ahead and buy from them just incase rouckautos pump isn't. Just keeping my fingers crossed that it fixes the p0452 and p0453 code as well. Will post back.... five04ever 10-12-2009, 03:00 PM Still stuck on this problem..... Can anyone explain the differences between these 2 fuel pumps?? Mainly want to know what does "Except Robust fuel sys sender (K53) ; Low Lubricity Fuel Sys; Sender (K55)" mean (i don't have either of those RPO's), and also how can i determine which of the below fuel pumps i need... The dealer gave the part#19177256 based on the last 8 digits of my vin# 1GNCT18W3XK226641 I think this is the correct fuel pump just not 100% sure now!! These from acdelco.com website search using the vin# above MODULE KIT,F/TNK F/PMP Part Number: MU1755 Product Notes: [Fuel Tank Fuel Pump (Sender & Pump) Module]; 2 Door ; Except Robust fuel sys sender (K53) ; Low Lubricity Fuel Sys; Sender (K55) Per Vehicle: 1; Years: 1999-1999 MODULE,F/TNK F/PMP(SENDER & PUMP) Part Number: MU85 Product Notes: [Fuel Tank Fuel Pump (Sender & Pump) Module]; Incls seal ; Except Robust fuel sys sender (K53) ; Low Lubricity Fuel; Sys Sender (K55) Per Vehicle: 1; Years: 1999-1999 Can't afford to buy the wrong pump, so help appreciated.
