93 Trans Sports looking for good homePDESORM 09-17-2009, 03:12 AM Hi everyone, I have upgraded to a Montana and so it is with regret that I must retire my 1993 Trans Sport. It has 430,000 kilometers. Green. Engine and trany (3 years old) run like tops. Suspension is it's weak point. The rust finaly got to it and I'm not a body guy. I still drive around with it locally. I have an identical van with no wheels and lots of parts missing (guess where they went?). Lots of seats available!! Would like to sell it to a good person who undertands these machines. I live on the Vermont/Quebec border. Drop me a line. P.S. Thanks for all the support while I worked on this machine. I often found answers in existing posts. 96tsport 09-17-2009, 07:22 PM Suspension is it's weak point. The rust finaly got to it Any more info? PDESORM 09-18-2009, 12:27 AM Any more info? The passenger front tower came undone but I had it welded and it appears to be holding. The drivers side is on its way. The strut bearings at the top bind, so the vehicle pulls hard after a turn until you hit a bump or yank the wheel the other way. jacking up has become a problem because the jacking rails are to weak. Don't be shy..ask more. Meridivs 09-18-2009, 02:42 AM Maybe some pictures with the van and affected areas would go a long way in forming a good idea about it's condition. For the rest of us it would serve well as a refference with spots to check before it becomes critical. The other one looks exactly the same but has no wheels, struts, heater core, etc. I have never posted pictures, so I hope it works! That didn't work, hang on... Phil. how do you post pictures? PDESORM 09-19-2009, 09:52 AM I'm having trouble posting pics, so I'm going to try a few things. PDESORM 09-19-2009, 03:12 PM maybe this will work... I've posted on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/photos/?ref=sb#/photos.php?id=1019281425 Not sure if that will work either. If not, send me a message and we'll work it out. Phil. P.S. the van has been on the side lawn for 3 months. Fresh, red rust looks worse than it is. 96tsport 09-19-2009, 06:17 PM Here's (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=5869024&postcount=4) some pix of mine. You have to have an account with facebook to see pix there. Meridivs 09-21-2009, 08:13 AM You can add pictures by using "Manage Attachments" button from your new message dialog (just below the text in Additional options). If that doesn't work I've sent you my e-mail address to which you can send the pictures of your Pontiac TS and I will try to upload them for you here. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
