Are you sure the steering wheel is straight when you turn the car off and not in a locked position? I see that all the time. Have had customers tow their car in here because of it. hyundai1 09-16-2009, 12:08 PM yes im sure PlanetDude 09-16-2009, 06:39 PM Disconnect the battery to get the key out? Is this an auto or manual transmission? God, I haven`t been inside a 99 in years.... could be the key tumblers themselves wearing out.. but that normally turns up trying to start the car... does your ignition have the requirement of pushing the key in at the end to remove it? If you have a spare key (You should) try it. See if it does it too. Solving a problem like this is troubleshooting, and eliminating as much as possible to arrive at a solution. hyundai1 09-17-2009, 11:30 AM Disconnect the battery to get the key out?
