Bob Tasca's 69 BOSS 428elcamino6t9 09-15-2009, 01:04 AM Heres my preliminary sketch. Not too familiar with the drawings of Mustangs myself..so it was different to draw thtis. Maybe Blip will know better and be able to judge. This is very rough though... think it looks ok... this car was a beast in its days.... still hits the tracks today.. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q219/mavic31/tasca_2.jpg rexsins-art 09-15-2009, 02:44 AM nice linework ,looks like an old "GASSER" Blip 09-15-2009, 08:09 AM Well done doodle, very cool sketchy look to your line work. elcamino6t9 09-15-2009, 08:13 AM thanks guys... i could never grasp the Mustang too well. Really stepping out of my comfort zone for this one. I think the rear quarter panel is a little off in design..what do you think Blip? I am cleaning the lines up now and will post another update soon.. thanks again... Blip 09-15-2009, 08:22 AM If I were to change anything on the rear quarter, it would be to move the "hip" a bit closer to the B pillar. That would help to lengthen the rest of the rear fender behind that point. Hope you don't clean up too much of the linework, there's such a cool "sketchy" look. Maybe even give a try at just adding color to layers under your orginal line work. Could give it a more graphic novel style look. (Just a thought running in my head.) elcamino6t9 09-15-2009, 08:32 AM If I were to change anything on the rear quarter, it would be to move the "hip" a bit closer to the B pillar. (Just a thought running in my head.) yeah i agree i like the line work as well... looks retro like the car itself. I will try that colouring technique....it seems these days i am more happy with the linework than the finished piece.. So maybe i should just draw more and leave it at that....lol I will adjust the rear quarter as well...thanks again Blip. Knew i could rely on you for anything Mustang ;) coydog 09-15-2009, 05:55 PM I like the linear, sketchy quality here. It conveys a lot of feeling and energy to the car and has this cool "70's style" vibe to it. I've always had a sweet tooth for Boss Mustangs. bonzelite 09-20-2009, 03:14 AM That looks great handsome sketch, is art in and of itself elcamino6t9 09-23-2009, 10:09 AM Thanks Bonze, it was fun to do. really drew it loose and it felt good. Seemed easier than i thought it would be... must have been in the right frame of mind after work that day :D.. Cheers..and thanks for your time! GirlBear 09-23-2009, 09:31 PM Very nice. now thats my kinda car. rpterpstra 09-24-2009, 09:41 AM yeah i agree i like the line work as well... looks retro like the car itself. Watch the pinching of the A-pillar, as it joins the cowl and rework your headlight 'buckets' before going into clean up. The near side bucket is too large and sits too high, in relation to the far bucket. The leading edges around the near bucket shound be thinner, as well, currently they make the near corner too thick and chunky. Carry on! ~BG vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
